Logline: An innocent young man, arrested for his father’s crime of armed bank robbery, must decide whether to rat out his father, sending him to prison for life, or plead guilty and serve at least five years.

Synopsis: Larry is a good kid from a dysfunctional family, but the world seems to be conspiring against him.  He supports his mother and sister, and he’s trying to save enough money to go to college, but he is mistakenly blamed for stealing drugs and a murderous drug dealer named Richard wants him dead. He also finds out that Lola, the girl he’s deeply in love with, has been secretly paying for college through pornography.

After reluctantly breaking up with Lola and moving back home, Larry’s father, Henry, gets out of prison. Shortly later, Larry rushes down to a bank to stop Henry from robbing it, but things go wrong and Larry is caught with guns and ski-masks, and charged with armed bank robbery. Larry must now decide whether to rat out his father, sending him back to prison for life, or plead guilty and serve at least five years.

Henry, who has vowed never to return to prison, calls up Richard, the drug dealer and sets up a hit on his son.  Meanwhile, Larry has decided to plead guilty to save his father. But before he can give Henry the news, Richard shoots and kills Larry.

            Or so it seems.

When the police turn over Larry’s body, we see that it is Henry dressed up in Larry’s clothes. Thus Henry has sacrificed himself to save his son. This allows Larry to truly understand the meaning of love and to ultimately be reunited with Lola.
